CCTV camera
In the first step of the project, the design and installation process of CCTV cameras began with a focus on complete coverage of the hospital’s critical areas. Areas such as the main and side entrances, inter-departmental corridors, emergency department, pharmacy, ICU, operating room, and parking lots were prioritized for installation. The type of cameras was selected based on lighting conditions, traffic density, and surveillance requirements. A combination of dome, bullet, and fisheye cameras were used to provide both a wider field of view and more detailed coverage.
An important point in implementing this section was to observe the principles of structured cabling and use cables resistant to noise and heat, because the hospital environment requires equipment with high stability and minimal electromagnetic interference. Installing equipment in standard racks, using industrial switches in the image transmission path, and designing backup paths allowed the video surveillance structure to be put into operation with the least amount of interruptions and errors.
Additionally, the use of smart NVRs with image analysis capabilities allows for the identification of suspicious movements, person counting, and traffic patterns. These capabilities greatly assist hospital security in making quick and accurate decisions.
Camera image transmission for security
In the continuation of the project, the issue of secure and uninterrupted transmission of camera images to the central security control room was put on the agenda. The design of this structure was based on the creation of a private network so that images could be transmitted to the monitoring center without dependence on the Internet and at maximum speed. The use of encrypted protocols in this path ensured data security against cyber intrusions.

The new infrastructure was based on POE switches and IP phones, which were centrally managed on a separate VLAN platform. The call center system was also equipped with various features such as call queue, call transfer, automated response (IVR), call recording, and advanced reporting. These features not only improved the quality of internal communication between different departments, but also provided an effective communication path for patients and clients with related departments.
One of the unique features of this system was the ability to connect to managers' mobile phones outside the hospital. In other words, managers could answer intra-organizational calls or make calls to extensions from anywhere using VoIP applications.
To enhance the system's reliability, the VoIP infrastructure was equipped with two separate servers with Load Balancing and Redundancy capabilities. Also, all conversations are protected through TLS encryption to fully preserve the privacy of organizational communications.
